{"id":402,"date":"2015-08-04T22:21:10","date_gmt":"2015-08-04T21:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rungigettorun.com\/?p=402"},"modified":"2015-08-04T22:21:10","modified_gmt":"2015-08-04T21:21:10","slug":"the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/luigifumero.com\/run\/2015\/08\/04\/the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"The future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It took me quite a while to recover from the half marathon I ran <a href=\"http:\/\/rungigettorun.com\/2015\/07\/29\/wimbledon-common-half-marathon\/\">last week end<\/a>. I don\u2019t know if it was the effort I have put in ti or the fact I ran it a week after a tough <a href=\"http:\/\/rungigettorun.com\/2015\/07\/21\/north-downs-way-marathon\/\">marathon <\/a>on the NDW. Maybe both, but I could not even walk without pain in my legs for two days. I decided to take it easy and rested Monday and Tuesday. Then the rest of the week I ran relatively all easy stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a quick summary:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/356379144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wednesday <\/a>10.5k at 4:48 with wooden legs.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/357072132\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Thursday <\/a>11k at 4:38 on the Bushy Park trails.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/357786082\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Friday <\/a>a very nice 14k at 4:35 in Richmond Park. I have never seen so many young deer.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/358470254\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Saturday <\/a>I pushed a bit and did 22k at 4:26. I finally felt like I had recovered.<br \/>\nI finished the week with an easy 11k run on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/359213052\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sunday <\/a>at 4:43.<\/p>\n<p>Overall a good week of recovery. I ran a total of <strong>69k<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>From next week I will start increasing the mileage again. Why? Because it is time to seriously start training for the races ahead. And I have a lot of them coming up.<br \/>\nI have basically decided what I am going to do for the rest of 2015 and most of 2016 already. I enjoyed the <a href=\"http:\/\/rungigettorun.com\/2015\/05\/20\/north-downs-way-50\/\">NDW50 <\/a>so much that I want to do more of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centurionrunning.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Centurion <\/a>50 milers, all of them actually and try to complete the Grand Slam.<\/p>\n<p>But that is next year.
